(FinancialHealth.net) – At the end of July, the House of Representatives left Capitol Hill to take a month-long vacation without coming to an agreement about another COVID-19 stimulus bill. You’d think lawmakers would have stayed until they passed the aid package Americans desperately need, but it wasn’t a priority, apparently. Do you know what was? The United States Postal Service (USPS) as it related to mail-in voting.
On August 16, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) called lawmakers back to the Hill to vote on a USPS bill. In a letter to Democratic representatives, she claimed President Donald Trump is sabotaging the election “by manipulating the Postal Service to disenfranchise voters.”

USPS has denied claims of wrongdoing. Trump does believe universal mail-in voting could lead to fraud, but there’s no proof he’s ordering the postal service to disenfranchise voters.
Pelosi’s latest move is another bad decision led by poor leadership. She didn’t call Congress back to work on a stimulus bill to help millions of unemployed workers, but she did to attack Trump. Americans now know what her priorities are.
