(FinancialHealth.net) – Have an Amazon Prime account? If so, today’s the last day to take advantage of this year’s “Prime Day” savings event.
Confused about the timing? You’re not alone. Amazon initially introduced Prime Day in 2015 as a way to get more people to sign up for the Prime discount service. Since then, it’s grown into a massive July shopping event designed to help pick up traditionally slow summer sales. Of course, COVID slowed the economy to a crawl this year, so the retail giant decided to put off the event.
And here we are – October 13th and 14th, 2020. Choose a shopping category and you’re bound to find lightening deals and massive savings. Some of today’s include electronics, kitchen appliances, workout equipment, and beauty products. The only items *not expected to be marked down incredibly low are toys, which tend to see their deepest price cuts in mid-December.
As we write this, the the Fire HD 8 Tablet is on sale for $54.99, down from $89.99. The Echo Show 8 is slashed by 50%, hitting the cart at $64.99 instead of $129.99.
Run – don’t walk – over to Amazon to check out the rest of the sales. Some of these sales are too good to miss. Besides, this is a great time to stock up for the holidays, especially if you’re on a tight budget. Retailers are struggling, so there’s no way to anticipate what Black Friday deals will look like this year.
