(FinancialHealth.net) – In March, President Donald Trump signed the CARES Act, and Americans started receiving Economic Impact Payments last month. The stimulus checks helped millions of people weather the COVID-19 storm, even if for a short while. Now, the commander-in-chief is signaling he’s ready for round two.
On June 22, during an interview with Scripps local TV news, a journalist asked Trump if he supports another round of direct payments to the American people. The president said his administration does support more help and is discussing a “very generous” stimulus package.

The news is sure to excite many Americans who are struggling to get through the global pandemic. The current unemployment rate is over 13%, and while that could be worse, it’s not great. Hopefully another round of stimulus payments, coupled with other policies the president is implementing, like the suspension of guest worker visas, will help people who are suffering.
